Creating Joyful
Play.
Reece Weitzel is a 17-year-old designer who has been crafting board games and digital experiences since the age of six. His journey is defined by a lifelong obsession with minimalist mechanics and meaningful play.
The Journey
Reece has been designing games since he was six years old. Surrounded by cardboard, crayons, and tape, he turned ideas into playable worlds and rarely missed a chance to ask, "Do you have five minutes to try something new?" From those early experiments came inventive designs like Four Keys, a cardboard blend of Minecraft-style building, timed escape, and survival horror; Get Gutenberg, a time-travel caper about stealing Gutenberg's printing press; Strategic Elements, a race across the periodic table to discover element 118; and Clipped, an asymmetrical game pitting humanity against an AI overlord determined to turn the world into paperclips.
Now 17, Reece leads Clipped Studios with a focus on making games that leave an impression. He loves building unexpected combinations that can make players laugh, gasp, scheme, and come back for another round.
